A Different Approach to Wellbeing
The Wellness Catalyst is built on a simple understanding: wellbeing is rarely about just one thing.
For more than two decades, I have worked with people whose bodies, experiences and needs are as individual as they are. Along the way, I have learned that lasting change often begins when we stop looking at one symptom in isolation and start listening to the whole person.
The body, nervous system, movement, fascia, emotions, stress and everyday life can all influence how we feel. My approach brings these pieces together — combining therapeutic experience with curiosity, intuition and an understanding that sometimes the most important thing we can do is create the right conditions for change.
That is what The Wellness Catalyst means to me.
More Than the Physical Body
Wellbeing involves more than muscles, joints and fascia.
Over the years, many sessions have naturally included conversation, reflection, mindfulness and intuitive guidance alongside hands-on therapeutic care.
Sometimes a person needs help understanding what their body is doing. Sometimes they need practical strategies for calming an overwhelmed nervous system. And sometimes simply being given the space to stop, reflect and listen to themselves can be valuable.
I don't believe every person needs the same approach.
My role is to meet people where they are and draw upon the knowledge, experience and tools that may best support them at that particular point in their journey.
This whole-person perspective is at the heart of The Wellness Catalyst.
Meet Irene
More than 24 years of working with the body has taught me that wellbeing is rarely about just one thing.
I’m Irene Baggetto, founder of The Wellness Catalyst and Beenleigh Bowen Clinic.
Since opening Beenleigh Bowen Clinic in 2002, I have worked with people experiencing pain, restriction, stress and bodies that simply no longer seem to respond the way they once did.
Over the years, my approach has continued to evolve. What began with Bowen Therapy grew to incorporate remedial therapy, myofascial and craniosacral work, lymphatic support, sound and vibration, nervous-system regulation and, ultimately, my own integrated approach — Neuro-Fascial Field Integration™ (NFFI).
But my work has never been only about techniques.
It has always been about the person in front of me.
From Beenleigh Bowen Clinic to The Wellness Catalyst
For more than 24 years, Beenleigh Bowen Clinic has been the home of my hands-on therapeutic work.
The Wellness Catalyst grew from a desire to create something broader — a space where physical wellbeing, nervous-system regulation, self-awareness, education and personal reflection can sit alongside one another.
It allows my work to continue evolving beyond the treatment room while remaining grounded in the practical experience that has shaped everything I do.
The name Catalyst is intentional.
I don't see my role as “fixing” another person. A catalyst helps create the conditions in which change can begin.
A Whole-Person Approach
The Wellness Catalyst, home of Beenleigh Bowen Clinic, brings together more than 24 years of therapeutic experience with an approach that recognises the individuality of every person.
No two bodies arrive with exactly the same history, and no two people experience wellbeing in exactly the same way.
My work may include hands-on therapeutic care, mindful awareness, education, reflective conversation and intuitive guidance, depending on the needs of the individual.
Whether someone comes because of pain, tension, restricted movement, stress or simply a desire to understand themselves and their wellbeing more deeply, the intention remains the same:
to create a supportive space for greater awareness, balance, movement and meaningful change.
My Journey
Sometimes the path we eventually help others walk begins with our own experience.
My journey into therapeutic work began after a horse-riding accident in 1996 left me living with ongoing pain.
It was my own experience of Bowen Therapy — and the difference it made to my body — that changed the direction of my life.
I wanted to understand more.
That curiosity became study, further training and eventually Beenleigh Bowen Clinic, which I opened in 2002.
More than two decades later, I am still learning. Every person I work with has reinforced something I came to understand very early: the body cannot always be understood by looking only at the place that hurts.
Pain, tension, movement, stress, the nervous system, fascia, emotions and our lived experiences can all influence one another.
That understanding has shaped the way I work today.
